A ferreirinha-comum é uma ave da família Prunellidae. Tem cerca de 14.5 cm de comprimento, caracterizando-se pela plumagem escura, de tons castanhos e cinzentos, e pelo bico fino. Frequenta matagais, com ou sem árvores, nidificando entre os arbustos. Em Portugal é uma espécie residente na metade norte do país.
The Dunnock is a bird in the Prunellidae. It has about 14.5 cm in length, characterized by dark plumage of browns and grays, and the pliers. Attends bushes, with or without trees, nesting in the bushes. In Portugal is a resident species in the northern half of the country.
